22yo US Army Specialist Adam S. Hamilton from Kent, Ohio, has been killed by a land mine explosion in Haji Ruf, Afghanistan.
The incident happened during a patrol on Saturday 28th May 2011. He had been in Afghanistan since March this year and was serving with 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division based at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Our hearts are heavy after hearing about the loss of Adam. He made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are some of the most fortunate people in the world due to the dedication and bravery of soldiers like Adam. He was very brave to fight for our country and I mourn his loss with all of you. May God Bless you all and keep you as you try to get through this difficult time.

ReplyDeleteMaking the ultimate sacrafice is so hard to accept from the perspective of our earthly lives. Our hearts long for Adam's earthly presence and will miss him.
ReplyDeleteAdam's desire to help and protect others will be magnified in his spirit so that he is more free to be blessed and happy in the next life.
His earthly fears of death and destruction of the innocent can no longer bind him. He is free to be Adam.
