US Army Sergeant Robert C. Schlote, aged 26, from Norfolk, Nebraska, died at his home on 14th May 2011, in Omaha, Nebraska, from a non-combat related medical illness. He was assigned to the 195th Forward Support Company, Nebraska Army National Guard, Omaha, Nebraska.
According to the Department of Defense, Sgt. Schlote was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan).
Sgt. Schlote is survived by his wife Tiffany and their daughter Blair, parents Roger and DeAnne, brothers, Brad, Bill, Justin and Josh, and sister Jennifer.
His funeral will be on Thursday, 19th May 2011 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Norfolk. He will be buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery with military rites by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard.
