US Army Spc. Jakob Roelli

US Army Specialist Jakob J. Roelli, from Darlington, Wisconsin, was one of two soldiers killed in action in Kandahar province on 21st September 2011 from injuries received when enemy forces attacked their unit with small arms fire.

24-year-old Spc. Roelli served with the 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, based at Fort Riley, Kansas.

The other soldier killed was 21-year-old Spc. Robert E. Dyas
