US Army Sergeant Garrick L. Eppinger Jr., died in Parwan province on 17th September 2011. This was his third deployment to Afghanistan.
Sgt. Eppinger, age 25, from Appleton, Wisconsin, served with the 395th Ordnance Company, 687th Combat Sustainment Support Brigade, 646th Regional Support Group, based at Wausau, Wisconsin.
Sgt. Eppinger had previously served two tours of duty in Iraq, in 2005 and 2009. He leaves his parents, Linda and Garrick Eppinger Sr. and his 22 month old daughter, Leonorea, among other relatives and friends.
This is my nephew. He was a very loving, kind, helpful, practical, dedicated young man who went out of his way to do the right thing!
