US Army Staff Sgt. Keith F. Rudd, age 36, died on 10th September 2011 in Parvan, Afghanistan, from wounds received during combat.
Staff Sgt. Rudd, 36, was a medic with Company C, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division based at Fort Bragg. He joined the Army in 2003. This was his third deployment.
He joined the Army in 2003 and deployed to Afghanistan in August this year. He had previously served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Among his awards and decorations are three Air Medals, four Army Commendation Medals, six Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Combat Medic Badge and the Army Aviation Badge.
He is survived by his father, who lives in Sunnyville, California.
