A Danish soldier was killed in Helmand province on 3rd September 2011 when a bomb exploded beside a Danish Army foot patrol. The incident occurred north of Gereshk.
Four other Danish soldiers were injured.
Update: the fallen soldier has been named as Konstabel Jacob Sten Lund Olsen.
