US Army Sergeant 1st Class Danial Adams

US Special Forces Sergeant 1st Class Danial R. Adams, was killed in action in Wardak province on 13th September 2011 during a battle with enemy forces. He was serving with the 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), based in Stuttgart, Germany.

35-year-old Sfc. Adams, from Portland, Oregon, joined the Army in 1995. Military officials said he was married with three children.

  1. He loved serving his country as a Special Forces Warrior. He loved the Soldiers with whom he served and they loved him. Adams was the Regiment's finest NCO and will be sorely missed by not only his command but by everybody with whom he served. Dan is survived by his wife Melany, his sons Jeffrey, John and his daughter Skye. He was funny, loving and a great leader and team Sgt. He will be missed. Prayers go out to his family.
