21-year-old U.S Army Sergeant Christopher Roger Bell, was one of four Alaska-based soldiers killed on Saturday 4th June 2011 from the blast of a homemade roadside bomb in Laghman province, eastern Afghanistan.
Sgt. Bell was a member of 3rd Platoon, 164th Military Police Unit, serving with the 793rd Military Police Battalion. He had been in the army for three years and lived at the unit's base in Anchorage, Alaska, with his wife Samantha and 1-year-old daughter Lana.

ReplyDeleteI am very sad to hear of the loss of Chris Bell. I was his school counselor at Tremont. He was a determined young man, who worked hard to meet his requirements and talked of serving in the military police while in high school. I can still visualize him fussing on his old car that he drove to school and back. He regularly had to give it a good "boot" to get it started. My sympathies go out to his young wife and daughter, as well as all other family members. May Chris rest in peace.

All I can say is he will not be forgotten and he is a prime example of a american soldier. I will continue to serve in remembrance of u man.
ReplyDeletewow Bell, though i didnt know you as personally as Tommy did, it's still hard to believe you wont be coming home w/the rest of the company next month. it hit him hard when i had to tell him you were one of the soldiers killed that day. my heart broke when i saw him on skype shortly after. we, as in the 164th family took a very hard hit that day and i know it will be one that will never be forgotten. R.I.P Buddy..
