  1. your a great friend and American hero. We all will miss you Nic and never forget what you done for this country. Rest EZ.

  2. I grieve along with the family. My son, Sgt. Kevin Brian Balduf was killed May 12th in the same area. He was buried in Arlington last Wednesday afternoon. Ironically, Josh Cawthorn, who was seriously injured in the same blast that killed L Cpl O.Brien, is a relative of ours by marriage. We are so very sorry for the loss of this fine young Marine. 3. A true American Hero, Nic O'Brien will be truly missed but never forgotten. He wanted to serve his country and he gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Freedom isn't free, we lost a wonderful young man! RIP Nic, We love you
