US Marine L-Cpl. Jason Hill

20-year-old US Marine, Lance Corporal Jason D. Hill from Poway, California, was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan on 11th June 2011 whilst conducting combat operations.

L-Cpl. Hill served with the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, based at Camp Pendleton, California.

L-Cpl. Hill enlisted in the Marine Corps in March 2010. His personal decorations include the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the NATO Medal.

His father, Charles, raised Jason and his two brothers, Dylan and Aaron as a single parent.

  1. Our lives in America are so blessed by these young men as they are moved out of their environment, sent to a wicked nation, and give the ultimate sacrifice with their life. And to quote a talk show host - "You are a real American"!

    May your brave Marine rest in peace, he gave his life to protect our freedom. He is a true American hero and will always be remembered for his sacrifice.

    My son served with Jason, he said he was an outstanding Marine and died to protect his fellow Marine. Semper Fi.

    I am the grandmother of a marine presently in Afghanistan now. This has shook our family. Please accept our heartfelt condolesences, prayers, honor and love.
    I am putting together a float for the fourth of July parade in my area and would be so honored to poster Jasons picture on the float along with some other fallen heros as well as some who are presently in combat.

  9. My son, LCpl Hertz is serving in Afghanistan; was with your beloved son! My heart aches for you and you are in my deepest prayers, thoughts, and heart! We are family......the Darkside Family, and I embrace you fully. Your hero, LCpl, Jason Hill will NEVER be forgotten! Thank you for his service and sacrifice and yours also. R.I.P. Jason!
