U.S Army Corporal Donald R. Mickler Jr., aged 29, from Bucyrus, Ohio, died 19th March 2011 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered when he was allegedly shot with small arms fire by an individual from a military security group.
He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Calvary Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.
The incident is under investigation. More to follow.
