A British soldier serving with 200 Signal Squadron died at an ISAF patrol base in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand province on Tuesday 24th January 2012.
The British Ministry of Defence declined to give further details about the incident saying the death was under investigation.
The soldier has been named as: Signaller Ian Sartorius-Jones.
