Sgt. Patrick R. Carroll, an intelligence soldier based at Fort Bragg, was killed Monday 7th February in Kandahar province when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.
Carroll, 25, was from Norwalk, Ohio, and was assigned to the 319th Military Intelligence Battalion, 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps.
