Pvt. Lewis Hendry

British Para, Private Lewis Hendry, of 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment was killed on 9th February after being shot by a Taliban sniper in Nad 'Ali district of Helmand.

Private Hendry received medical attention at the scene before being evacuated by helicopter. Sadly, he died from his wounds.

He was born in Norwich on 12 February 1990 and educated at Northgate High School, Dereham. 

He joined the Army in May 2008, conducting his training at the Infantry Training Centre Catterick.
