Two British soldiers have been killed today (26 March 2012) by an Afghan National Army soldier at the Lashkar Gah base in Helmand province, southern Afghanistan.
The two servicemen, Royal Marine Sergeant Luke Taylor and Lance Corporal Michael Foley from the Adjutant General's Corps, were serving as part of Task Force Helmand when they were shot and killed at the main entrance to the base.
The gunman was killed as troops reacted to the shooting.
