Richard Shine, uncle of fallen US Army Spc. Douglas Green - who was killed in action in Kandahar on 28th August 2011 - has written a song in tribute to his nephew. Listen to it here:
Dougie Green was a son, brother, nephew, comrade and friend to many. He gave his life in Afghanistan for us all. This is a tribute with a song written by his uncle, Richard Shine. He will be remembered as Our Hero, Our Friend. A memorial foundation has been developed in his honor: The Douglas Green Memorial Foundation.
